ARCONA PREP
Family-Centered Dog Training
Arcona Prep offers a board and train program for puppies! Our aim is to provide foundational training in a very real-life and in the moment environment. Our program gives families a head start in raising a well-mannered and attentive dog that will easily fit in as one of the family!

SERVICES
BOARD & TRAIN
Your puppy will receive individual training anywhere from 2-6 weeks (depending on your preference and training goals) while residing with the Arcona Prep trainer and their family.
Your puppy will be a part of our family during that time, and will participate in all that we do while being taught appropriate manners, household rules and basic skills.
More specifically, your puppy will be sleeping through the night in the crate without accidents or barking and will be going to the bathroom outside. They will have very sharp obedience skills such as sit, down, come, stay and go to “place” with the use of verbal and hand commands,. They will MASTER “leave-it” and will be taught to walk on a leash. They will be taken in the car, to kids' soccer games and into public places like parks and stores during their time with us.
Our training method and philosophy for puppy training is primarily driven by positive reinforcement. At this developmental age we are able to weed out most unwanted behaviors by consistently reinforcing those more desired behaviors.

ABOUT
My name is Courtney, Arcona Prep's dog trainer! I have always loved dogs, and have found to be most at peace when surrounded by an unruly bunch! My love for training dogs began 13 years ago when I worked to certify my dog as a Therapy Dog to come work with me in my role as a social worker. Since then I have worked with many families to create that same positive relationship with their new puppy. I really enjoy working with young puppies. I like to be able to send them off to their new families with a solid foundation of skills and a secure and confident attitude about the world around them.
